Detailed description
A dress from the Emanuel Ungaro Parallèle line, the ready-to-wear produced alongside Ungaro's haute couture. Ruby-red silk jacquard with a woven motif of hearts and teacups. The construction, with padded shoulders and a mock neck, points to the 1980s.
The dress fastens with a zip at the back. Long sleeves finish with zips at the wrists, which can be left open for a flared cuff. An elastic band is set into the waist, shaping the dress to the body. Pleated draping across the front. Fully lined.
Emanuel Ungaro designed for his own house from 1965 to 2004 and was recognised for bold colour compositions, particularly in reds and fuchsias. The Parallèle line was discontinued in 2004, which places its dresses in the archival category.
